Don Giordano joins The McGowan Companies (TMC) as an Executive Vice President. In this position, Don will be working with McGowan’s carrier and distribution partners to create additional Excess Casualty products and services, which will complement TMC’s industry leading Excess Casualty programs. Don comes to The McGowan Companies from CapSpecialty where he held a Senior Management position in their Casualty division.   Prior to CapSpecialty, Don spent over 12 years with AIG where he managed Excess Casualty Profit Centers in National Accounts, Commercial Accounts, Real Estate and Financial Institutions, Programs and Small Business. Don has contributed to the profitable growth of large books of Excess Casualty business and successfully worked with many different distribution channels. He led underwriting teams working in various market spaces each with its unique set of challenges and keys to success. In the early stages of his career, Don was an Underwriter for a Reinsurance MGU and a Personal Lines Underwriter.
